Do you remember your very first job interview after high school or college? Or, that first networking event?
I sure do! I remember rehearsing in front of the mirror, trying to nail down exactly what to say (and secretly crossing my fingers AND toes that I’d land the job!). Thankfully, I had some awesome teachers, coaches, and mentors who helped me practice and build up my confidence.
Next Tuesday, I’m excited to partner with Orbis and Ankeny Schools for a Student Networking Day – and I’d love for YOU to join us!
We’re helping students practice their networking skills – a super valuable tool they’ll use throughout their entire careers.
Here’s how you can help:
We need a few more amazing community members to participate in our speed networking sessions. You’ll meet students in 7-10 minute rounds and help them sharpen those networking skills!
Details:
• Sessions are scheduled for 8:30-9:40 am, 10:10-11:15 am, and 2:25-3:30 pm. You’ll meet with students during one of these slots, guiding them through their first real networking experience.
• Don’t worry, we’ve got conversation starters covered! You’ll share your career journey and ask students about their plans after high school. The goal? To keep it fun, interactive, and insightful for everyone!
Interested in joining us? Shoot me a DM, and I’ll get you added to the volunteer list!
Thank you for helping shape the future generation and for spreading that Good Ripple Effect!
