What Does Your Personal Brand Say About You? A Lesson From Emily in Paris

Lisa Even Branding
A New Look in 2025!

As I refresh my professional branding (watch for new colors, designs, and an updated look for Lisa Even soon!), I’ve been reflecting on how we’re all shaping our personal brands daily—whether we realize it or not. And let’s face it: our personal brands ripple into our professional brands.

One article that caught my eye: 5 Personal Branding Lessons From ‘Emily in Paris’ That Can Transform Your Career (Forbes). It explores how intentional branding—whether personal or professional—can elevate careers and connections. That’s exactly what’s been on my mind as I work through color palettes and website copy.

This process has sparked some big questions worth considering:

  • What does your brand say about you—professionally and personally?

  • How do the people around you experience your work? How do they experience you in your personal life?

  • What small, meaningful tweaks could improve how you connect, lead, and communicate?

Your brand isn’t just a polished LinkedIn profile or a well-prepared presentation. It’s built through daily interactions—at work, at home, and in your community. For me, this journey isn’t about reinvention—it’s evolution. It’s true: “Life imitates art.”

I took the time to answer these questions myself, and here’s what I hope my brand says about me:

Lisa’s Leadership Brand Manifesto

I don’t wait for the world to shape me—I shape the world. I happen to my team, my culture, and my results, not the other way around.

Leadership is more than hitting metrics or chasing numbers. True leadership creates environments where people choose to show up, engage, and make an impact. It’s about human connection, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness. Leaders who have the courage to foster collaboration and bridge differences in values and communication styles create teams that thrive, innovate, and inspire.

I’m here for the leaders and teams ready to challenge the status quo, navigate the relentless pace of change, and create workplaces where exceptional culture, collaboration, and outcomes aren’t the exception—they’re the standard.

My approach is simple: real tools, real transformation. Through practical strategies, relatable stories, and a touch of humor, I deliver insights that stick and empower leaders to take action. I believe joy is a business strategy, not a “nice to have.” When teams own their workplace experience, innovation soars, retention rises, and productivity flourishes.

Above all, I believe in the power of the ripple effect. The energy, presence, and intentionality I bring to each interaction shapes not only my team but my organization and beyond. The positive ripple effect starts with me and spreads to create meaningful, lasting change.

Now it’s your turn! If you were to answer these questions or create your own manifesto, what would it say?

Don’t overthink it—just start jotting things down. It’s a great exercise to kick off 2025 with clarity and focus.
