Who would have guessed?!
I remember being 16 years old and going to the mall with friends.
We would drive 25 minutes there (life of a rural kid) in my 1993 grand prix which had maroon leather seats, stroll into the place like we owned it, and wander and window shop until we'd seen the entire place.
One of our favorite places, aside from Aunt Aunie's Pretzels, was to peruse the shelves at Barnes & Noble. We'd purchase and swap books and come back a few weeks later…no online catalog to scan for new reads.
Who knew that 20 years later, I would find myself as an author in one of the very stores I used to visit? #DreamComeTrue
