The day was all about bringing people joy and refueling. But the best part was that the funds raised through the conference will continue to create a ripple effect.
So last Friday, RIGHT after my event at Rising Tides, I did another speaking gig and book signing (crazy, I know!)
I wasn’t kidding when I said I needed coffee, people! Ironically enough, it was the PERFECT conference to speak at: the Refill My Cup Conference!
The day was all about bringing people joy and refueling. But the best part was that the funds raised through the conference will continue to create a ripple effect.
Here’s the amazing story behind the day:
Julie Wyssman, a home health nurse, had the idea a few years ago to create a multi-generational day center, which will house a coffee shop, a child daycare, and an adult daycare (for disabled and elderly), and she has been on a mission raising capital dollars for the center ever since!
She started with a coffee trailer and now has four coffee shops, helping “fill and fund” the dream.
I couldn’t say no when she asked me to come present on a day that refills in many ways!
And JOY has so much to do with this. Being on a mission to change the world requires JOY…because without a bit of fun and laughter during the crazy and hard times, we are left empty and burnt out.
It was awesome speaking at this event and spreading the message of my new book, “Joy is My Job”
