What a week!
A few years back, we had a thought to start an experiential scholarship for a Loras College Student.
The student would make their way to Des Moines for a week (all expenses paid), with the goal of introducing them to the world of healthcare, their desired and future career path.
We had 19 students apply and are happy to say, that last week we hosted our first recipient!
She spent time in Urgent Care, OBGYN, Physical Therapy, Dentistry, Chiropractic, Administration, and Telemedicine.
We loved our “that’s a wrap” lunch, hearing about which specialties were the most surprising, the interesting types of patients she got to observe, and what the overall experience showed her.
